More Casting News for BIRDS OF PREY Including Chris Messina as The Villain Victor Zsasz
We have a new update for Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). A huge casting announcement was made, but roles were mostly a secret. François Chau, Dana Lee, Steven Williams, Matthew Willig, and Derek Wilson have been announced by Warner Bros. but their roles were not revealed.
There is one role that we know, and it’s a pretty big one. Chris Messina will be portraying Victor Zsasz in the film. He will be working alongside Black Mask (portrayed by Ewan McGregor). If you don’t know who Zsasz is, he’s a very sadistic serial killer who marks himself for every victim he kills. So yeah, fun guy.
Birds of Prey will be directed by Cathy Yan with a screenplay from Christina Hodson. Chau, Lee, Messina, Williams, Willig, and Wilson join the all-star cast consisting of McGregor, Ella Jay Basco, Rosie Perez, Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Birds of Prey is set to release February 7, 2020.
