More Details Released for YU-GI-OH! LEGACY OF THE DUELIST: LINK EVOLUTION

I have not been shy about my excitement for Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution. I loved the card game and anime when I was younger, and I still love playing the card game, but I know a lot has changed. I’m hoping that this game can get me a little caught up.

We have some more details for Link Evolution thanks to the official Yu-Gi-Oh! site. The most important thing is that this will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and it will launch this summer (or April 25 if you live in Japan). Second, over 9,000 cards will be included to be used in decks that can be used in the story mode which will let fans relive the stories of their favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series including ARC-V and VRAINS. You’ll also be able to use your decks against friends online or in local-play.

One feature that some fans will be excited for is Reverse Duels where you get to play the role of the villains in the anime and, I assume, take over the world.

Personally, the modes I’m most excited for are the Battle Pack Sealed Pack and Draft modes. I’ve always wanted to play these formats in real life but have never had the chance. Are you excited for Link Evolution? Do you think it’ll help me get over my bias against anything from GX or newer?
