More Info on Batman's Role in SUICIDE SQUAD

David Ayer and Jai Courtney have both claimed that the reshoots for Suicide Squad were not to add more humor, as was previously reported, but to add more action scenes, and I wonder if any of those involved Ben Affleck's Batman. Apparently the character has a larger role in the film than we originally thought, and a new piece from Fandango indicates that we'll see a decent amount of The Dark Knight in the upcoming film.

The site asked Ayer how much Batman we'll see in the movie, and he responded, "Just the right amount." And when he was asked whether the film takes place before or after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and if it acknowledges the events of that movie, Ayer replied, "The answer to all of the above is yes." So it sounds like there will be some time-jumping going on here. And the outlet speculates that we'll see flashbacks of how Batman put all of the Suicide Squad members in jail.

"The Bat does cross my path... and, ya know, it's not completely pleasant," Will Smith tells us, alluding to a rumble between the two. Smith plays the supervillain Deadshot in the movie, who's historically a Batman baddie, as are most of the Squad. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who went through five hours of physical prosthetic work each day to become the character Killer Croc, also teases a showdown with Batman, reaffirming the fact that Batman is the one who's responsible for these supervillains all being locked up in the first place.

I'm interested in seeing...well, all of Suicide Squad, actually, but more specifically, I'm interested in how much of this movie takes place after the events of Dawn of Justice and how those two films specifically intersect. It seems like they have wildly different tones, and it'll be cool to see WB and DC expand their cinematic universe with different voices than Zack Snyder.
