MORTAL KOMBAT 12 Gets Short Teaser as NetherRealm Studios Thanks Fans for 30 Years
Mortal Kombat 12 was announced earlier this year during an earnings call and fans have been hoping for basically any news. NetherRealm Studios recently gave them just the tiniest of teases. The team launched a video thanking fans for 30 years of the franchise. Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon is the last to thank everyone, says that more is coming, and then we get a roughly 10-second teaser.
In the teaser, we are inside an hourglass with sand falling. Then, we zoom in on a single grain of sand until it explodes. This seems to be showing some kind of connection to Kronika who played a huge role in Mortal Kombat 11. What do you think the exploding sand is indicating? Could it be a whole timeline being destroyed?
We don’t have a release date for Mortal Kombat 12 although it is said to release sometime this year. You can get caught up on the story with Mortal Kombat 11 available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4/5, and Xbox consoles (affiliate link) through their respective digital stores or your favorite retailers including GameStop (affiliate link).
