MORTAL SHELL Gets a Release Date and Shows Off the Ballistazooka in New Trailer
Mortal Shell is an upcoming game from Cold Symmetry and Playstack and now we have a new trailer and a release date. The game is a very violent third person action game said to be in the same vein as the popular Dark Souls series. In the trailer, fans also got their first look at the Ballistazooka, a ranged weapon in Mortal Shell that launches iron bolts to decimate foes and pin them to structures.
Andrew McLennan-Murray, Anton Gonzalez, Dmitry Parkin, and Vitaly Bulgarov of Cold Symmetry released the following joint statement about the release of the game:
Launching Mortal Shell worldwide is a dream come true. Our commitment to our fans is to create a soulslike game that is authentic, uncompromising and unrelenting. We were humbled by the popularity of the beta and we closely studied the feedback we received to create something that we are incredibly proud of.
Playstack’s Harvey Elliot added:
Mortal Shell is already achieving the kind of pre-release metrics that would turn heads at any publisher, be it indie or triple-A. I am delighted that Playstack has delivered a publishing and marketing campaign that ensures the game gains the exposure and response it truly deserves. More than anything I can’t wait for fans around the world to finally play it from August 18th.
Mortal Shell will launch on PC (via Epic Games Store), PS4, and Xbox One on August 18 for $29.99. A Steam release is set for 2021.
