MOUSE GUARD Adds Sonoya Mizuno in Lead Role

Sonoya Mizuno is possibly best known for playing Araminta Lee in the hit film Crazy Rich Asians. Now, she’s going to use the wonderful technology of motion capture to star as the “title character” in Mouse Guard.

I’m not sure how Mizuno will be a title character as reported since the Mouse Guard seems to be made up of different individuals and is not a singular character. She joins Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Idris Elba, and Andy Serkis in the Wes Ball-directed adaptation of the comics by David Peterson.

In the world of Mouse Guard, mice struggle to live safely and prosper amongst harsh conditions and a host of predators. Thus the Mouse Guard was formed: more than just soldiers, they are guides for common mice looking to journey without confrontation from one village to another. They see to their duty with fearless dedication so that they may not simply exist, but truly live.

This cast is getting to be more amazing with each new announcement. Any thoughts as to who Mizuno could actually be playing?
