MoviePass is Finally Officially Dead

It’s finally officially dead. The bad subscription service can’t hurt you anymore. It was officially announced on Friday that Helios and Matheson Analytics were “pulling the plug” on MoviePass.

The service became very popular and famous for offering unlimited movie tickets for a mere $9.99 a month. However, it then hit snag after snag with problem after problem arising for the company and its consumers. The service officially ended on September 14 and according to a press release:

The Company is unable to predict if or when the MoviePass™ service will continue. The Company is continuing its efforts to seek financing to fund its operations. There can be no assurance that any such financing will be obtained or available on terms acceptable to the Committee.

Do you still use a movie subscription service?
