Moviepass Now Has 1 Million Subscribers

Say what you will about their business model, Moviepass is getting subscribers. Deadline reports the service has exceeded 1 million users, and it only took a little over 4 months to achieve that goal. Obviously, the company will have to hustle a lot harder if it hopes to make some sort of profit from the losses it's raking in from those who use the service frequently, but for now, it's a damn good time to be a subscriber!

If you haven't signed up and are unsure of whether or not you should, here's what I tell people. If you go to one movie a month, you've already come out ahead. If you don't go see a movie every month, there's probably going to be a month where you want to see two movies and, once again, you're saving a ton of money off theater prices. Of course, not everyone loves movies that much so it's not the ideal gift for everyone, but my point is that even the most casual of moviegoers can benefit from this program by signing up.
