Moving Trailer For Ava DuVernay's ORIGIN Starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Jon Bernthal

Neon has released a moving new trailer for writer and director Ava DuVernay’s film, Origin. It looks like it tells a heavy, emotional, and powerful story. The film is "the unspoken system that has shaped America and chronicles how lives today are defined by a hierarchy of human divisions."

Origin is inspired by the life and work of Pulitzer Prize winner Isabel Wilkerson, as she writes her seminal book, "Caste: The Origin of Our Discontents". In the film, “she investigates the genesis of injustice and uncovers a hidden truth that affects us all."

The movie also includes a strong cast of actors that includes Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Jon Bernthal, Niecy Nash-Betts, Vera Farmiga, Audra McDonald, Nick Offerman, Finn Wittrock, Jasmine Cephas-Jones, and Connie Nielsen.

Neon will debut Origin in theaters on January 19th, 2024.
