A moving trailer has been released for the dramatic film Memory, from writer and director Michel Franco (April’s Daughter, New Order, Sundown). The film stars Oscar-winner Jessica Chastain as a single mother and social worker named Sylvia. Emmy-nominee Peter Sarsgaard plays a man who is suffering from early onset dementia, who can’t remember the life he is living day to day.
The film also stars Merritt Wever as Sylvia’s younger sister, Brooke Timber as daughter Anna, Jessica Harper as Sylvia’s estranged mother, Josh Charles as Saul’s protective brother and Elsie Fisher as his daughter.
The film’s synopsis reads:
“Sylvia is a social worker who leads a simple and structured life. This is blown open when Saul follows her home from their high school reunion. Their surprise encounter will profoundly impact both of them as they open the door to the past.”
