MS. MARVEL Trailer Breakdown Points Out Easter Eggs and References

I don’t know about you, but I actually liked what I saw in the trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel. But I was a fan of the character long before the series was announced. The series looks like it captured the spirit of the character, and it looks like fun!

ScreenCrush has released a video breakdown of the trailer, and it points out 71 different Easter eggs and references. Many of them are pretty obvious, but there are some other things that you may have missed or not even thought about. It offers some fun insight! Check it out!

The series stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, and it looks like she will give a wonderful and charming performance as the main character. The trailer shows MCU’s newest superhero as she tries to balance high-school life, her family, and her emerging superpowers.

Kamala Khan is a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. “An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?”

The rest of the cast includes Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.

The Ms. Marvel series is being developed by British writer Bisha K. Ali, who is writing the series and also serves as showrunner. Ali is a comedian who also worked as a writer on Hulu’s remake of Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Episodes are directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Bisha K. Ali are the executive producers.

The series will be announced on Disney+ on June 8th.
