MY ADVENTURES WITH SUPERMAN Season 3 Trailer Unleashes Cyborg Superman and a Very Annoying Superboy
Adult Swim just dropped the first trailer for My Adventures With Superman Season 3, and it looks like Clark Kent is about to have one hell of a summer in Metropolis.
The animated series has been a blast since it premiered, and fans have really connected with its energetic storytelling, anime-inspired style, and lovable take on Superman and his friends. It’s one of those DC projects that just gets what makes these characters fun.
This new season throws Superman into chaos with the arrival of two major DC characters that include Cyborg Superman and Superboy.
The trailer introduces a younger version of Superboy voiced by Darren Criss, and he instantly becomes a problem for Superman and Lois Lane.
Instead of showing up as some polished young hero, this version seems hyperactive, curious, and completely incapable of stopping the endless stream of questions firing out of his mouth. Clark already has enough stress in his life, and now he’s basically dealing with a super-powered kid brother who won’t stop talking.
At the same time, things get much darker with the rise of Cyborg Superman. Season 2 sets the stage for the villain through Hank Henshaw, voiced by Max Mittelman, and now the character fully transforms into the terrifying mechanical Superman.
The trailer teases massive destruction across Metropolis as the cybernetic villain clashes with Superman in what looks like one of the series’ biggest fights yet. In the comics, Henshaw can control machines and rebuild himself with technology, which makes him a brutal opponent for the Man of Steel.
Thankfully, Superman isn’t facing all of this alone. Supergirl returns alongside Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen to help save the city. Kiana Madeira continues to bring a fun energy to Kara, while Alice Lee and Ishmel Sahid remain one of the best versions of Lois and Jimmy outside the comics.
The chemistry between this core cast has always been one of the show’s strongest elements, and the trailer leans hard into that dynamic again.
The series has done an awesome job balancing heartfelt character moments with giant comic book insanity, and Season 3 looks like it’s pushing both even further. There’s action, weird sci-fi threats, emotional tension, and plenty of goofy humor packed into the footage.
The DC animation universe around the show is also continuing to grow. A spinoff titled My Adventures With Green Lantern is currently in development for Adult Swim and HBO Max. The series will follow Jessica Cruz, who is expected to make her debut during Season 3 of My Adventures With Superman.
Meanwhile, DC fans still have plenty more Superman content headed their way in live-action as well. Milly Alcock stars in this summer’s Supergirl, while David Corenswet is set to return in the upcoming Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, next year.
My Adventures With Superman is co-executive produced and showrun by Jake Wyatt and Brendan Clogher. The series is also executive produced by James Gunn, Peter Safran, and Sam Register, with Kimberly S. Moreau serving as producer.
Season 3 premieres Saturday, June 13 at midnight ET/PT on Adult Swim, and streams the following day on HBO Max.
