MYST Is Being Ported to Nintendo Switch Next Week

Myst was a very popular computer game back in the 90s. Then, to celebrate 20 years, developer Cyan released realMyst: Masterpiece Edition for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android which featured the same game but refreshed and rebuilt.

Of course, if you didn’t like the updated stuff, you could revert back to the original gameplay with Classic mode. Well, if you’re wanting to enjoy Myst on console, Cyan recently announced that realMyst: ME is being ported to Nintendo Switch with pre-orders live now.

The game will release on May 21, but if you buy it before May 28, you’ll get it for only $15.99 instead of $19.99.

It’s been 25 years since Myst became your world. This newly refreshed and rebuilt version is all the things you loved about Myst, but now you are free to investigate this strange world in your own way. You can explore anywhere. Pick your own path through the forest on Myst Island and seek shelter from the thunderstorm in Stoneship Age. Whether you’re visiting Myst Island for the first time, or you’ve been exploring the island for years - there’s never been a better reason to let the surrealistic Ages of realMyst become your world.

I’ve never played Myst, but I’ve heard great things about it, and I do love puzzle games, so I may have to pick it up to try. What’s your favorite memory of Myst? Have you tried realMyst: ME yet?
