Mysterious Avengers Hatch Appears in Outside Disney's New GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Ride

Last week was the grand opening of Disneyland's new Guardians of the Galaxy themed ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission: BREAKOUT! And just like in the films, we got a cool mysterious Easter egg outside of the ride to tease what's to come.

A tightly sealed hatch with the Avenger's logo has recently appeared just outside of the ride. This has got many people speculating the purpose behind it. Many believe it may be a spoiler for future films, but as far as Disney has stated, the Marvel rides are not canon with the films, so that connection is doubtful. The other thought is that it is promoting something theme park based that has yet to be revealed.

But what sort of thing? A new ride? Or something bigger. Much of the internet has a suspicion that this is evidence of an upcoming Marvel Land that will appear within Disneyland. An expansion with multiple rides and experiences to make people feel like they're in the MCU. At the grand opening for the Mission: BREAKOUT!, Bob Chapek, Disney Park's chairman, had something to say about this.

"This is just the beginning of what will become an even bigger superhero presence at Disney California Adventure, and with the strong partnership between Marvel and Walt Disney Imagineering, we're very excited about what is to come. And it's sure to please Marvel fans hungry for more magic at Disney Parks."

This sounds like a confirmation to me if I've ever heard one. Although no official statement has been announced for a Marvel Land, the space that the Hatch has appeared is right where people speculate the area will be built. Also at the opening, there were some orange suited hazmat people wandering around the area as another hint of some sort. No clue what it all means, but I'm sure at D23, we'll get some more information for certain.
