Naomi Watts Stars in Trailer for Survival Thriller INFINITE STORM Based on Harrowing True Story

A new trailer and poster have been released for the survival thriller Infinite Storm, based on a crazy true story. Oscar-nominated actress Naomi Watts (21 Grams, The Impossible) stars as Pam Bales, a woman who goes out for a hike on Mount Washington near her home in New Hampshire on a day where a storm hits, but before she heads back down the mountain, she finds a man and takes it upon herself to get them both down to safety before nightfall arrives and they succumb to the storm. In addition to Watts, the cast includes Billy Howle, Sophie Okonedo, Denis O'Hare, and Parker Sawyers.

The film is co-directed by Polish filmmaker Malgorzata Szumowska (Happy Man, Stranger, Elles, Never Gonna Snow Again) and cinematographer Michal Englert in his feature directorial debut. The screenplay is written by Joshua Rollins, adapted from an article by Ty Gagne titled "High Places: Footprints in the Snow Lead to an Emotional Rescue."

Here’s the film’s synopsis:

As an experienced climber (Naomi Watts) ascends Mt. Washington, she turns back before she reaches the summit as a huge blizzard approaches. But on her way down, she encounters a lone, stranded man, and takes it upon herself to get them both down the mountain before nightfall arrives and they succumb to the storm. Infinite Storm is based on a true story.

This looks like a crazy film that tells an insane story that will be hard to believe is true. I look forward to watching what happens. Check out the trailer below, and watch Infinite Storm when Bleecker Street Films releases it in select US theaters starting on March 25th, 2022.
