Natalie Portman Says One of the Most Visually Beautiful Scenes in THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Was Shot in a Best Buy Parking Lot

Thor: Love and Thunder is finally here! Taika Waititi’s colorful, rowdy, and breathtaking sequel is in theaters, and it’s quite a spectacle to see! Hemsworth is back as Thor, who is navigating his love life in this movie, as Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is back in his life, this time taking on the mantle of Mighty Thor. We also see the return of Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), who is the new King of Asgard, and the villain in the film is Gorr the God Butcher, played by Christian Bale.

Things in this story are definitely changing for our God of Thunder, but what you can expect for sure is that the film will be stunning. Waititi brought a whole new style to the Thor films with Thor: Ragnarok, incorporating humor and vivid brightness to the scenes.

In a recent sit down with the director and core cast members, Portman talked about filming one scene in particular, telling ET:

"There's one scene that's one of the most visually beautiful scenes I've seen on film, and we shot [it] in real life in a Best Buy parking lot. It's so wild to be on this size of movie, and we were literally in a parking lot with a blue screen, doing this really dramatic thing. It looks so stunning on film, but every time I see it, I'm like, 'That's a Best Buy parking lot.'"

It’s just crazy what they can create these days with a screen and some open space! Thor: Love and Thunder is playing now in theaters, so go check it out!
