This past weekend, Comic-Con@Home hosted a fun panel with Nathan Fillion where he opened up about his career and the projects that he’s worked on. Fillion has a huge geek fanbase and the foundation of that comes from the hit short-lived sci-fi western series, Firefly. Since then, his fans have followed him to where he goes. He’s since been a part of other great shows such as Castle and The Rookie.

During the panel, he talks about all of these shows as he reflects on his career and he also brings in special guests to discuss them! Some of the special guests include Firefly’s Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk and Joss Whedon. Then Jon HuertasSeamus Dever and Molly Quinn jumped in to talk about Castle. He was later joined by The Rookie‘s Mekia Cox. Fillion and Whedon also open up about working on Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.

One of the things that Fillion admitted on the panel, was, “Firefly has been my favorite job I’ve ever had until The Rookie.” Torres and Tudyk agreed with him about that and the lasting legacy of Firefly. Fillion explained, “Once a ‘browncoat’, you’re locked in.”

It’s also fun seeing the cast members of shows you love reunite to talk about them. When those shows revolve around Nathan Fillion, though, it’s an extra special and entertaining experience. Enjoy the panel below!
