NBC Bringing Back 30 ROCK for a Brand New Hour-Long Episode and Upfront Special
NBC has announced that they are bringing back the hit series 30 Rock for an hour-long, remotely produced episode that will serve as an upfront special. The network made the announcement in the wake of the success they had in airing the recent reunion episode of Parks and Recreation in the same format.
The special will feature the return of cast members Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, and Jack McBrayer in what NBC describes as “a first-of-its-kind all-audience upfront event.”
Variety reports the following special info:
The hour-long, commercial-free event will first premiere on NBC and then will be rebroadcast across USA, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, and CNBC as well as available to stream on NBCU’s new service Peacock on Friday, July 17 at 9 p.m. ET. That’s two days after Peacock’s July 15 nationwide launch.
Executive producers Fey and Robert Carlock said in a joint statement:
“We’re all happy to have this excuse to (remotely) work together again for NBC. To quote Kenneth the Page, there are only two things we love in this world, television and everyone.”
This will make for another fantastic special! It will be so much fun to see this cast together again. Now if we can just get the cast of The Office to make one of these things…
