NBC Looking To Bring Back THE OFFICE

The peacock network NBC might be closer to bringing back the popular workplace comedy The Office.

Deadline first reported speculation about the network considering a series order for an Office reboot with a new cast last summer. But now that another NBC comedy revival, Will & Grace is having success among critics and most importantly in the ratings, talk about the Office has continued. TVLine is now reporting that the series is being considered for a comeback during the 2018-19 season.

It would again be set at Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton, PA., branch with a mix of both old and new cast members. It's not clear which cast members would return but it was made clear that Steve Carell would not be involved, and his role would be recast.

Last summer, NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt admitted during the TCA that an Office revival was on his wish list.

“We often talk about The Office; I’ve talked to Greg four times over the past few years. It’s always, ‘Maybe someday but not now.’ There is certainly an open invitation, but we don’t have anything happening right now. If he wants to do it, I would do it.”

Fans of The Office have got to be pretty excited for the series to come back, this is one of those shows that is forever timeless.  What do you think, do you want more of The Office?  Which cast members would you like to see make a comeback?
