NEAGLEY Trailer Unleashes Maria Sten’s Action-Packed REACHER Spin-Off Series
If you’ve watched Reacher, then you already know one thing for sure. When Maria Sten’s Frances Neagley shows up, things are about to get interesting.
She’s been Jack Reacher’s most trusted ally across the series, and now she’s finally getting the spotlight she deserves.
Prime Video debuted the first trailer for Neagley during San Diego Comic-Con, giving fans their first real look at the franchise’s first spin-off.
If the footage is any indication, this series isn’t dialing back the action. It’s delivering another hard-hitting mystery, only this time Neagley is leading the charge.
Fans first met Neagley as one of Jack Reacher’s fellow members of the Army’s legendary 110th Special Investigations Unit.
Since leaving the military, she’s built a career as a private investigator in Chicago, and Reacher Season 3 offered a glimpse of the kind of stories that could be told with her at the center. Now that idea has become a full series.
The new show comes from Reacher showrunner Nick Santora and veteran producer Nicholas Wootton, whose credits include NYPD Blue and Prison Break.
Sten reprises her fan favorite role as Neagley, who is pulled into a dangerous investigation after learning that a close friend from her past has been murdered.
It’s a setup that will feel familiar to Reacher fans. Like Season 2 of the flagship series, the story revolves around someone targeting people connected to Neagley’s past.
This time, though, Reacher isn’t the one driving the investigation. Neagley is taking control of the mission herself, and the trailer promises plenty of gunfights, brutal hand-to-hand combat, and high-stakes detective work.
Even though Neagley shares the same DNA as Reacher, it looks like it’ll have its own identity because its lead character brings a completely different energy to the screen.
Where Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher mixes intimidation with a dry charm, Neagley is all business. She’s tougher around the edges, more direct, and far less interested in making anyone comfortable.
That shift in personality will make this series feel refreshingly different while still delivering everything fans love about the franchise.
It’s also an interesting move considering Neagley has never been a central figure in Lee Child’s novels. While she’s an important ally, she only appears occasionally throughout the books.
Giving her a standalone series allows the television universe to expand without changing Reacher’s role as the wandering lone wolf fans know from the novels.
Separating the characters may actually strengthen both shows. Reacher can continue traveling from town to town on his own adventures, while Neagley gets the opportunity to build her own world, solve her own cases, and prove she can carry an action series without needing backup.
Based on the first trailer, she looks more than ready for the job.
Neagley premieres on Prime Video on September 16, 2026.
