NEON FUTURE Is a Great Cyberpunk Comic Series So Far
If you are into cyberpunk comics and have not heard of Neon Future from Steve Aoki, Neil Edwards, Jim Kreuger, Abraham Lee, and Jheremy Raapack, I suggest you fix that. The comics are published by Impact Theory Comics and are rated M so be aware of that, but it is still a fascinating series. Here’s the premise:
“NEON FUTURE is set in a future where technology is illegal, a war is brewing between the Augmented, who have chosen to integrate technology into their bodies, and the Authentic, who have not. The resistance movement, Neon Future, strives to bring peace by showing the world a brighter future in harmony with technology.”
Neon Future #4 recently dropped, and I had the opportunity to read all four issues currently out in rapid succession. I have to hand it to Edwards and Raapack, the art is incredible. It’s probably my favorite part of the comic. I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of the main character yet, but there’s plenty of intrigue that is keeping me interested in the actual story of what’s going on. That being said, I don’t know that I would’ve kept reading the series after just the first one or two issues. This is definitely a series I’m glad I heard about after it had a few issues under its belt.
I’ve included the cover art and a couple of pieces of key art below for you to check out. Have you been reading Neon Future?
