NERDS Teams Up With DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
Are you a fan of NERDS candy? Have you wanted to get into Dungeons & Dragons? Well this team up is for you then. NERDS will be selling limited edition Gummy Clusters and Rainbow NERDS Theater Box packaging featuring new D&D inspired nerds characters. Lasting from September 1 - December 2021, customers can upload their receipts here to unlock an exclusive campaign called Restoring Harmony.
“After uploading the first receipt, fans will gain access to a single PDF adventure and character sheet that can be run in under an hour by a Dungeon Master and one player taking on the role of a NERDS character starting at level one.
Restoring Harmony features the six different NERDS characters, each representing a different type of NERDS personality: Curiosity, Creativity, Spontaneity, Deep Thinking, Logic and Humor. And this time, each will be transformed into iconic Dungeons & Dragons classes.”
You will need seven receipts total to unlock the whole adventure which will take the characters up to level 3, which is not great for seasoned players but is a good introduction to the game for new players, especially since each session doesn’t have to take a super long time. Shelly Mazzanoble, Brand Manager for Dungeons & Dragons says:
"I can personally say my D&D sessions are better together with NERDS candy at the table. We are thrilled to partner with NERDS on their new packaging and the release of seven custom mini D&D adventures. The NERDS brand strongly celebrates individuality and the idea that we can be better together, like a D&D party, and we couldn't think of better ally to help spread the importance of those qualities."
Not only do you gain access to the Restoring Harmony adventure, you can enter a sweepstakes to win introductory gear to play D&D including: D&D Starter Set, D&D Essentials Kit, Players Handbook, Monster Manual, and Dungeon Master's Guide. You must be 13+ to enter the sweepstakes, no purchase necessary. You can learn more about the details here. I think this team up sounds great, NERDS are a fun candy to snack on while playing D&D and it sounds like they are really trying to help people who have never played, especially kids, be able to get into the game.
