Netflix Picks Up New Will Smith Action Thriller FAST & LOOSE From JOHN WICK Director David Leitch
After a major bidding war, Netflix has acquired the worldwide rights to the action thriller Fast & Loose starring Will Smith, from director David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2). Writing team Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber (Red, Battleship, The Meg, My Spy) wrote the script for the film.
The initial synopsis reads:
“The film follows a man who wakes up in Tijuana with no memories. As he pieces together his past, he learns he’s been living two lives, one as a crime kingpin and the other as an undercover CIA agent.”
It was first reported in February that the package was hitting the market with every major player involved in the bidding war. Netflix would eventually win rights and has taken its time in negotiating the deals.
