Netflix Announces ENOLA HOLMES 2 with Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill Returning
Millie Bobby Brown is ready to jump back into the role of Enola Holmes to solve more mysteries. Netflix has announced that they are developing Enola Holmes 2, and Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Enola’s big brother Sherlock Holmes in the new adventure.
The director and writer of the original film, Harry Bradbeer and Jack Thorne are also returning to develop the sequel. Brown said, announcing the franchise’s new installment:
“I can’t wait to collaborate again with my ‘Enola Holmes’ family. Enola holds a special place in my heart — she’s strong, fearless, intelligent and brave. I look forward to fans seeing how her journey continues!”
The film franchise is based on the Enola Holmes Mysteries book series written by Nancy Springer. The centers around Sherlock Holmes’ rebellious teen sister, “who is a gifted super-sleuth in her own right and often outsmarts her famous siblings.”
I enjoyed the first movie; it was a lot of fun! With the same creative team coming on board for the sequel, I imagine that the sequel will end up being at least just as good.
