Netflix Announces Season 5 Renewal of Hit Series EMILY IN PARIS
Netflix has announced the season five renewal of its series Emily in Paris, following the premiere of Season 4’s Part 2 last week on September 12th. The fourth season, which was split into two parts, sees Emily (Lily Collins) embark on a romance with a handsome Italian fashion exec and then move to Italy to open a Rome office for Agence Grateau.
The Season 5 announcement featured a teaser of Emily sitting on rooftop terrace in Rome as she sipped on an espresso, saying, “There’s no place like Rome,” with a wink. The show’s creator Darren Star confirmed to Deadline last week that the Rome connection is set to continue in Season 5.
Talking about the upcoming Season 5 on Good Morning America, Collins said she was looking forward to seeing what happens between her character and her fashion exec love interest, Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini.
“Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily because we ultimately want Emily to be able to have a better work/life balance,” she said. “We want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time.”
