Netflix Announces STRANGER THINGS Season 3 Premiere Date in New Promo Video and Poster

Netflix has released a new promo video and poster announcing that Stranger Things season three is set to premiere on July 4th, 2019.

The promo plays with the whole new year theme as it starts out with footage of the Big Apple drop in Dick Clark’s live 1985 Rockin’ New Year’s Eve special. As we watch, the video is interrupted by some static and cryptic code.

1985 will never be the same. Stranger Things returns for a third season July 4, 2019 on Netflix. First we see an old computer system running some kind of code and then highlighting the words, “When Blue and Yellow Meet In The West.” As we continue to watch, we also see the phrase, “Run Program: SilverCatFeeds.exe” being typed into the system.

As the video cuts back to the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve special and the countdown to the end of the year begins we hear one of the boys in the series yell something. At this point, the footage stars turning upside down then cuts to footage of Fourth of July fireworks.

Finally it reveals the tagline of season three, “One summer can change everything,” and Netflix warns us that “something strange arrives in Hawkins, summer 1985.”

I also included a poster for the series that features the kids enjoying fourth of July fireworks with what appears to be the arms of a creature behind them. Eleven and Will are the only ones who seem to notice while everyone else is distracted.

I can’t wait to see how the story continues for these characters in season three! Are you all excited?!
