Netflix Cancels SPACE FORCE After Two Seasons

Netflix has announced that they have canceled their original comedy series Space Force after its second season, which debuted in February. The series reteamed its star Steve Carell and The Office creator Greg Daniels, and it also stars John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, Diana Silvers, Jimmy O. Yang and Don Lake. Also, Lisa Kudrow played Naird’s wife, Maggie Naird, in the first season, which also featured the late Fred Willard as his father.

Season 2 picked up with General Mark Naird (Carell) and his underdog team having to prove their worth to a new administration while dealing with interpersonal challenges.

The series has received mixed reviews over its two-season run. I really wanted to like it, being a big fan of The Office, but it was never as good as I hoped it would be. This cancellation doesn’t come as a surprise, but I’m glad it got a two-season run to at least try out the story.

Were you a fan of Space Force? Does the cancelation bum you out?
