Netflix Confirms That THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY Has Been Renewed for Season 3
Netflix has revealed on social media that their hit series The Umbrella Academy has been renewed for a third season at the streamer. This is news that we were expecting and hoping for, considering the cliffhanger that Season 2 left us on, but it’s a better feeling knowing we have confirmation. The show was created by Steve Blackman and Jeremy Slater, and is based on the graphic novels by My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way.
The series stars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin H. Min as the Umbrella Academy, the adopted children of Reginald Hargreeves, who were all born on the same day to women who only became pregnant that day. They were each born with various powers, and have been working to stop the end of the world as they work through the traumas they have endured.
I can’t wait for another season of this series! It is such a great and fun show, and I am excited to see what comes next. Here’s hoping for a 2021 release date, but we will let you know as the information develops. Are you excited for The Umbrella Academy Season 3?
