Update: Netflix has restored the original version of the film without the silly and awkward edit.

For those of you who haven’t watched Back To The Future Part II on Netflix yet, the streaming service confusingly censored a scene in the PG-rated movie and they censored it in the laziest and most bizarre way possible.

The scene in question is when Michael J. Fox's Marty McFly opens up what he believes to be a sports almanac only to discover that it’s a copy of an adult magazine called “Ooh La La” that was wrapped in the almanac's jacket.

The Netflix edit removes some shots of the magazine's interior, as well as the cover. They also remove some of Marty's lines and it’s all done with a red blank where the scene is supposed to be. You can watch a side-by-side comparison below showing Netflix’s cut with the original, and I just don’t get it.

Netflix is weird and there was absolutely no point in censoring this scene.
