Netflix Developing "Offline Mode" For Release Later This Year

Netflix may finally be able to let you stream without an internet connection. The news comes from LightReading, whose sources say the company is developing an "offline mode" set for release later this year. The mode will allow people to select films or shows to download temporarily to their device for viewing offline.

As someone who traveled recently, this would be a lifesaver for plane rides! I don't want to pay 12 bucks for wifi, and I don't want to pay 8 bucks to rent a movie! I already pay monthly for Netflix, so why can't I watch it whenever I want without restrictions? It would be a dream to be able to stream an entire car/plane ride away with my favorite show. Let's hope this news is legit, because I'm already too excited to be let down!
