Netflix Developing Two New FAR CRY Animated Series, One Comes From CASTLEVANIA Producer Adi Shankar
Netflix is developing two Far Cry animated shows that are sure to get fans excited. The first of the projects is titled Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, which is inspired by the Far Cry 3 expansion Far Cry: Blood Dragon and all of its early 90s-spired greatness.
This series is coming from Adi Shankar, who is best known for executively producing Netflix’s awesome Castlevania series. It has been given a six-episode order. He talked about the series on Twitter, saying:
"Ubisoft allowed me to create a new Universe for them that acts as a 'Blood Dragon remix' of all Ubisoft properties. Think Captain N: The Game Masters but good .. or the Bootleg Universe short films without copyright infringement!"
The second Far Cry project is said to be a separate “adult anime series.” It’s based on the first-person shooter game franchise of the same name, with each game revolving around the main character working against a fearsome dictator that controls a particular island or isolated region.
The creative team for the series is still being assembled, but it will be produced by Ubisoft’s Hélène Juguet, Hugo Revon, and Gérard Guillemot.
