Netflix Film TO ALL THE BOYS... Sequel Date Announced, With Third Film's Production Already Begun
While a lot of Netflix original films come and go without a lot of fanfare, we hear the occasional reviews for one that has everyone raving. The 2018 YA rom-com, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before was one of these. The movie was based on the novel by Jenny Han, and it won the hearts of tons of fans.
We found out a while back that we would be getting a sequel to the film, but we have been holding out on the movie’s release date. We now know, thanks to a video tweet from the author that we will be getting the second movie, entitled To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You on February 12, 2020, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
And the end of the video added an extra fun surprise! They also revealed that the third film in the book trilogy is already in production, and has the title, To All The Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean. According to IMDB, the third film also has a release date of 2020, so we may just get both films next year! The sequel will see the return of Lana Condor (Alita: Battle Angel) and Noah Centineo (The Fosters, The Perfect Date), with Ross Butler (13 Reasons Why, Shazam!) joining the cast.
Here’s a description of the second book in the series, which will be our next film:
“Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter. She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once? In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.”
Check out the fun announcement below, and let us know if you’re excited for the next two films!
