Netflix Has Cancelled DAREDEVIL

The Marvel shows on Netflix have been dying off lately. First, Iron Fist was cancelled after no one seemed to like it. Then, Luke Cage got canned with fans being a bit more divided on it. Now, the one that everyone loved has fallen. That’s right, Daredevil has been given the ax. Netflix sent the following statement to Deadline announcing the cancellation of the beloved series:

Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix. We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note.””We’re thankful to our partners at Marvel, showrunner Erik Oleson, the show’s writers, stellar crew and incredible cast including Charlie Cox as Daredevil himself, and we’re grateful to the fans who have supported the show over the years.

That’s nuts. I commend them for wanting to end the show on a high note, but this is the one show that everyone freaking loved. I get the feeling that Disney+ has something to do with this particular cancellation and I’m sure Jessica Jones and The Punisher, the two survivors at this point, will also be cancelled soon, although they may wait for the current seasons to finish before making the announcement.

Daredevil launched the series of Marvel shows on Netflix and was very well received by critics and fans. It ran for three seasons. Are you saddened at the loss of this show?
