Netflix Has Picked up Dennis Quaid's Latest Inspirational Film Project BLUE MIRACLE

Netflix has acquired a new film project from Dennis Quaid titled Blue Miracle. The movie tells the true story of Casa Hogar, “a Mexican orphanage that was struggling to survive after Hurricane Odile hit in 2014. On the brink of bankruptcy, the residents enter the world’s biggest fishing tournament in hopes of winning the prize money to save their home.”

Quaid is joined by actors Raymond Cruz, Anthony Gonzalez, Jimmy Gonzales, Dana Wheeler-Nicholson, Fernanda Urrejola and Bruce McGill.

The film was directed by Julio Quintana, who also helmed the 2016 drama The Vessel. He also co-wrote the script with Chris Dowling (Run the Race, Priceless, Where Hope Grows).

Quaid has been attaching himself to a few Inspirational film projects this past year. He’s currently shooting American Underdog for Lionsgate, which tells the story of NFL quarterback Kurt Warner. He’s also set to star in a faith-based family drama titled On a Wing and a Prayer.

The streaming service has not set a release date yet.
