Netflix Has Renewed ATYPICAL For Season 2

I don't know about you, but I loved the Netflix series Atypical. It's such a charming coming-of-age drama, and I'm happy to report that the series has been renewed for a second season! The first season of the series consisted of eight episodes but it was announced that Season 2 will have ten.

The story centers around Sam (Keir Gilchrist), an 18-year-old boy on the autism spectrum, as he searches for love and independence. Jennifer Jason Leigh plays Sam’s mother, Elsa; Michael Rapaport plays Sam’s father, Doug; Brigette Lundy-Paine plays Sam’s scrappy sister, Casey; and Amy Okuda plays his therapist, Julia.

The series was created, written and executive produced by Robia Rashid. Because the series deals with Autism, a consultant/producer was hired who specializes in Autism. Michelle Dean received her PhD from UCLA and worked at the UCLA Center for Autism and Research and was also brought on to the project to help guide an accurate depiction of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

If you haven't started watching Atypical yet, you should definitely check it out.
