Netflix Is Developing a Film Adaptation of the Kids' Book Series A BABYSITTER'S GUIDE TO MONSTER HUNTING

The popular three-book kids series A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting is being turned into a fun family movie, and it’s coming to Netflix. The series was written by Joe Ballarini, who will also write the script for the film. Rachel Talalay, who has worked on Sherlock, Dr. Who and The Flash, has been tapped to direct.

The movie will be based on the first book in the A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting series, and Deadline gives us the following rundown for the film:

When babysitter Kelly Ferguson’s charge is kidnapped by monsters, Kelly is recruited by a secret society of badass babysitters, who protect children destined to change the world.

It’s like The Babysitter’s Club, but way cooler, and with a lot more at stake! I know my kids will love this movie, and hopefully it will be fun and funny enough that us parents enjoy it as well. I guess we better read the books too!

Have you read this series? Who would you like to see star in A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting?
