Netflix is Developing a Six-Episode Historical Series Called OTTOMAN RISING
Netflix is developing a six-episode historical series called Ottoman Rising. It’s described as being a hybrid docu-drama miniseries that will tell the epic story of Mehmed II known as Mehmed the Conqueror.
The series will chronicle Mehmed the Conqueror’s “astonishing and fabled rise from 13-year-old Child Sultan to toppling Constantinople and becoming the ruler of the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century.”
As someone who has always been a fan of history, I’m really excited about this miniseries. It’s being developed by STXtv and Karga Seven Pictures.
This is the second narrative-driven scripted-hybrid format project from STXtv. The other one that is being developed is Valley of the Boom, a six-part limited series for National Geographic Channel, which is set during Silicon Valley’s tech boom.
Is a historical series based on the rise of the Ottoman Empire something that you’d be interested in watching?
