Netflix Is Producing an Animated CUPHEAD Series
Netflix is set to produce an animated series based on the incredibly popular video game Cuphead. The series will be called The Cuphead Show! and it’ll be cool to see how it turns out!
I love the game! It has a very cool style as the animation in it is inspired by the classic Fleischer cartoons of the 1930s. The series will have that same style, and it will also “expand upon the characters and world of the game, which centers on titular hero Cuphead and his brother Mugman who make a deal with the devil in a high-stakes gambling match.”
The series will be executive produced by C.J. Kettler (Carmen Sandiego) from King Features, while Cuphead creators (and brothers) Chad and Jared Moldenhauer will also serve as executive producers for Studio MDHR. Netflix Animation is also producing the series and will be developed and executive produced by Emmy and Annie award winner Dave Wasson (Mickey Mouse Shorts). Cosmo Segurson (Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling) will also serve as co-executive producer.
I’m looking forward to this series; it has potential to be a very fun and entertaining series!
