Netflix Officially Announces BRIGHT Sequel with a Video Showing Orcs Auditioning For It

It was leaked back when the film was in development, and now it's official, Bright is getting a sequel. Because Netflix rarely does any announcement in a normal way, the streaming service made the announcement via fake Orc auditions for the film, which are actually pretty funny.

Will Smith and Joel Edgerton are expected to reprise their roles in the sequel. The film got a ton of viewers when it was released. The streaming service recently said that it was viewed by 11 million people over three days. Netflix also said that it was the highest viewed original film ever on the service in its first week of release and one of the biggest originals it has ever launched.

Bright was met with mixed reviews. Some people loved it, while others didn't, but there's obviously an audience for it that will watch a sequel.

Set in an alternate present-day where humans, orcs, elves, and fairies have been co-existing since the beginning of time. Bright is genre-bending action movie that follows two cops from very different backgrounds. Ward (Smith) and Jakoby (Edgerton), embark on a routine patrol night and encounter a darkness that will ultimately alter the future and their world as they know it.

The first movie was directed by David Ayes and written by Max Landis and it also starred Noomi RapaceEdgar RamírezIke Barinholtz, and Brad William Henke.

Check it out the video announcement below and let us know what you'd like to see in the sequel.
