Netflix Officially Fires Kevin Spacey From HOUSE OF CARDS

Not long after Anthony Rapp accused Kevin Spacey of making unwanted sexual advances toward him at a party at his apartment when he was only 14-years-old, a few more individuals have come out to accuse Spacey of the same thing.

Netflix already shut the House of Cards Season 6 production down to figure out how they are going to proceed, and now they've officially announced that they've fired Kevin Spacey and will no longer be associated with him in the future. The streaming company also says that they will not release the Gore Vidal biopic Gore, which the actor stars in. This is the official statement that was released:

“Netflix will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey. We will continue to work with MRC during this hiatus time to evaluate our path forward as it relates to the show. We have also decided we will not be moving forward with the release of the film Gore, which was in post-production, starring and produced by Kevin Spacey.”

It's unclear how House of Cards will move forward at this point, but apparently, the producers are considering killing off Spacey’s character Frank Underwood. Netflix is also looking at three different possible spinoffs for the show, one of those spinoffs is being built around Michael Kelly’s “fixer” character Doug Stamper.

House of Cards Season 6 was set to premiere in mid-2018 with 13 episodes, but we'll have to wait and see how things end up moving forward from here.
