Netflix Officially Renews David Fincher's MINDHUNTER For Season 2!
David Fincher and Joe Penhall's Mindhunter is one of my favorite series of the year so far and I'm excited to report that it has been renewed for a second season!
Netflix made the announcement on the show's official Twitter account with a video that you can watch below. Mindhunter was such an intense series and the ending really left me hanging, so I'm so happy that the story of these characters will continue with Season 2.
The series has an amazingly talented cast that includes Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv, Hannah Gross, and newcomer Cameron Britton, who amazingly portrays serial killer Ed Kemper.
The series is an adaptation of the 1996 nonfiction novel by Mark Olshaker and John Douglas called "Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit." It's set in the 1970s and explores the early days of criminal psychology and profiling as two FBI agents would travel and interview imprisoned serial killers in an attempt to apply what they learned to their current cases.
