Netflix Orders 1990s-Era Comedy Series EVERYTHING SUCKS

A lot of TV shows have found success being set in the past, from That 70s Show to Meet The Goldbergs, now Netflix is going retro. Netflix just announced a 10-episode straight-to-series order for a series called Everything Sucks.

The show comes from the team behind The Zoo and is described as "a quirky, funny coming-of-age story. It follows two groups of high school misfits: an A/V club and a drama club, who collide in 1996 Oregon."

Peyton Kennedy (American Fable) and Jahi Winston (The New Edition Story) star as students, with Patch Darragh (Boardwalk Empire) and Claudine Nako (Grimm) playing their parents.

The series is created by Ben York Jones (Like Crazy) and Michael Mohan (Save the Date), they will both executive produce. Mohan will direct most of the episodes. The series will premiere on Netflix in 2018.
