Netflix Orders Family Sitcom Starring Sean Astin and Melissa Joan Hart

Netflix continues to grow its original content roster. This time they’re going for a family sitcom called No Good Nick and it will star Melissa Joan Hart as Liz and Sean Astin as Ed. I am very excited to see Astin come back to life on Netflix after his tragic death in Stranger Things as Bob. I’m also interested to see how Hart does in the role. Siena Agudong will star as the title character Nick, and Kalama Epstein and Lauren Lindsey Donzis will be Liz and Ed’s daughters. Here’s a little synopsis:

Hart will play Liz, a type-A career mom who’s married to Astin’s Ed, a lovable, dorky “fun dad.” They welcome Nick into their home before realizing she’s a con artist who has a secret agenda.

Sounds like it could be fun, but Netflix has said that there will be “elements of serialized drama” throughout the show. No Good Nick was created by David H. Steinberg and Keetgi Kogan with Andy Fickman directing. Production has started so I would imagine we can expect to see it in 2019.
