Netflix Orders MIDNIGHT MASS Horror Series From the Creators of THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE

Netflix has decided to continue its blossoming relationship with The Haunting of Hill House director and writer Mike Flanagan and producer Trevor Macy. Their last series together was an incredibly huge hit, and fans are really excited for what the second season will bring.

But now we have news that Netflix has ordered another series from the pair, another horror series called Midnight Mass. Deadline reports:

The seven-episode Midnight Mass follows an isolated island community that experiences miraculous events — and frightening omens — after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest. Flanagan will direct and serve as an executive producer alongside Macy. The project has no relation to the Midnight, Mass Vertigo comics.

This sounds like an interesting premise. These guys have worked together on many projects, including the films Oculus, Gerald’s Game, Hush, and Before I Wake. And now they are pretty much on a roll.

See their work next on the second season of The Haunting of Hill House, entitled Haunting of Bly Manor, out in 2020.
