Netflix Renews Steve Carrell and Greg Daniel's SPACE FORCE For Season 2

Netflix has officially renewed the Steve Carell and Greg Daniels series Space Force for a second season. This doesn’t really come as a surprise to me as I thought the first season was pretty enjoyable.

The series is a workplace comedy inspired by President Donald Trump’s Space Force initiative. Carell stars in the series which centers on “a decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird, who’s thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colorful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.”

Carell and Daniels, co-created the series and Daniels also serves as co-showrunner. Carrell will be back to reprise his role and he will be joined by John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, Diana Silvers and Jimmy O. Yang.

Production is slated to begin in Vancouver in 2021. If you haven’t watched Space Force yet, you should give it a shot. If you have seen it, are you happy to learn that a second season is coming?
