Netflix Renews THE LINCOLN LAWYER For Season 3, But Neve Campbell Won't Return
Netflix has renewed its popular series The Lincoln Lawyer for a third season and it will deliver another 10 episodes. I’ve really enjoyed the first two seasons of this series and I’m looking forward to watching the story continue.
Season 3 is said to be based on the fifth book of Michael Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer book series, The Gods of Guilt. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will return to reprise his role as Mickey Haller and he’ll be joined by Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, Yaya DaCosta as Andrea Freemann, and more. Unfortunately, Neve Campbell won’t return, but the door is open for her to return in future seasons.
The show follows Mickey Haller, an iconoclastic idealist who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Here’s the description of the story for The Gods of Guilt book:
Mickey Haller gets the text, “Call me ASAP — 187,” and the California penal code for murder immediately gets his attention. Murder cases have the highest stakes and the biggest paydays, and they always mean Haller has to be at the top of his game.
When Mickey learns that the victim was his own former client, a prostitute he thought he had rescued and put on the straight and narrow path, he knows he is on the hook for this one. He soon finds out that she was back in LA and back in the life. Far from saving her, Mickey may have been the one who put her in danger.
Haunted by the ghosts of his past, Mickey must work tirelessly and bring all his skill to bear on a case that could mean his ultimate redemption or proof of his ultimate guilt.
Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, co-showrunners and executive producers shared in a statement: “The audience response to the show has been so gratifying and wonderful, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into Michael Connelly’s universe and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again.”
The Lincoln Lawyer was created for television by David E. Kelley and developed by Ted Humphrey. A+E is the studio.
