Netflix Renews Their ANNE OF GREEN GABLES Series For Season 2
If you haven't watched Netflix's adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables series yet, you should check it out. It's actually a really well-made show that I enjoyed watching with my girls. The series is called Anne With an E and Netflix has renewed it for a second season.
Anne With an E centers on a young orphaned girl in 1890, who, after an abusive childhood spent in orphanages and the homes of strangers, is mistakenly sent to live with an elderly spinster and her aging brother. Over time, 13-year-old Anne transforms their lives and eventually the small town in which they live with her spirit, intellect and imagination.
The series was created by Breaking Bad writer Moira Walley-Beckett and actors Geraldine James, R.H. Thomson and Lucas Jade Zumann will return to reprise their roles. Elizabeth Bradley, Netflix vp content, had this to say in a statement:
"Anne Shirley is one of Canada’s greatest gifts to the world. We can’t wait to bring Anne’s next chapter to Netflix members globally."
Anne With an E will return to Netflix in 2018.
