Netflix Renews Their Supernatural Series DARK For Season 2

Dark is a fascinating supernatural series on Netflix that you need to watch if you haven't already. The series comes from Germany and it's been getting a lot of positive buzz. The series has been compared to Stranger Things, but it's definitely a different kind of crazy series that stands on its own. This is a brief explanation of the initial concept:

Set in the German town of Winden, it follows events after the disappearance of two young children, and the double lives and fractured relationships among four families. A supernatural element emerges, relating to events from an earlier generation.

I'm happy to report that Netflix has officially announced that Dark is getting a second season! I'm excited to see where the story goes! Netflix’s VP for international originals, Kelly Luegenbiehl, had this to say in a statement: 

"When we first heard about ‘Dark,’ we realized very early on that we hadn’t seen anything like this show before – in Germany or anywhere else in the world. ’Dark’ is a testament that great storytelling transcends geography."

Dark was created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese. They also serve as executive producers and showrunners, and this is what they had to say in a statement:

“We are overwhelmed by the response to ‘Dark’ and are thrilled that our story has been a success with a global audience. And our fans can be sure that we have plenty of surprises in store for the second season of ‘Dark.’”
