Netflix Reportedly Developing a Young SHERLOCK JUNIOR Movie
It looks like Netflix is interested in playing a little more in the Sherlock Holmes sandbox after the success of Enola Holmes. According to What’s On Netflix, the streaming service is developing an original film titled Sherlock Junior.
There are two writers and producers attached to the project, which include Ehren Kruger (Dumbo, The Ring, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Top Gun: Maverick) and Matt Kuzma who previously worked as a writer at Sony Picture Entertainment before moving to Netflix.
The report even shares a synopsis for the film, which reads:
Sherlock Junior follows a modern day young John Watson as he links up with British expatriate and new neighbor, Sherlock Holmes, to solve the mystery behind a strange disappearance and a witch’s curse on their town. Building a team of fellow child sleuths, they must work together to evade a number of dangerous thieves if they have any chance at finding the treasure she left behind.
There is no director or cast members attached to the project yet, but that news will come in time if this project actually exists. Netflix has not confirmed the project, so as of right now this is just a rumor. However, with how successful Enola Holmes was, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see another Sherlock Holmes inspired movie produced at Netflix.
