Netflix Saves Kiefer Sutherland's DESIGNATED SURVIVOR
Kiefer Sutherland's Designated Survivor looked to be doomed following ABC's cancellation, but now the show is guaranteed a Season 3 return via Netflix. The deal will move the show's first two seasons to Netflix in the United States in Canada, where the series is currently on Hulu. The show has been available in other countries for a while, which Netflix VP of content Bela Bajaria indicated was a large part of why the service decided to pick it up (via Engadget):
Timely and gripping, Designated Survivor has quickened the pulses of our Netflix members outside the US and Canada in its first two seasons. The international audience for the show drove our interest to bring the show to the world as a Netflix original for its third season and we are excited to bring the first 2 seasons to our US and Canadian members as well.
Season 3 will premiere globally on the platform, and will feature 10 episodes covering President Tom Kirkman's re-election bid. Are you excited to see the series return?
